@NullTheFool@mastodon.gamedev.place not my actual name, I don't share a name with any of my relatives anymore, but the surname from one half of my family means "servant of god" which has a nice flavor of irony I think, considering that I'm pretty sure if I set foot in a church, either I or it would instantly burst into flames

@NullTheFool many many generations ago my forefather was a trader in Syria, crossing the desert with his caravan. In the distance he could see bandits approaching fast. He knew they would be the death of him, so he got off his camel and prayed for salvation. As the story goes, the ground started shaking, and a gap formed between the bandits and the caravan. They were able to get away without suffering any harm.
From that day on our name was Zalzala, which roughly translates to earthquake. -

E in azienda ci sono due distributori guasti su due. Ho dovuto accontentarmi del tè delle macchinette (corretto con acido malico altrimenti è imbevibile)

@inherentlee @agnes it's the data they use to avoid assigning people addresses they can't send to, so it should be kept pretty accurate
it doesn't say anything about routes that may be delayed (e.g. from Italy I can send mail to Russia, and eventually it usually arrives, emphasis on eventually (the last two cards I've sent to Russia are still traveling, after 61 days))

so, #Day2 of #AdventOfCode with #rust and #ruby.
Brute force, but in ruby it feels more natural for me to create a bunch of arrays, in rust it seemed easier to fiddle with array indexes.
I wonder if I could use some "zero cost" slices?
I'm pretty sure I could do both things the same way tho.Also my first rust tests! I'm not sure what the naming convention is supposed to be, the rust book doesn't make it clear imo.
