Can anyone recommend a #PeerTube instance for hosting long original video interviews?
Am happy to donate towards upkeep - indeed would prefer to know there was a model for paying for hosting, moderation and maintenance, as would like to think the instance will still be up in a decade's time.

Once I figured I had to make it request a sign up it ran well but the hosting cost ended up unsustainable. Probably it would be cheaper/easier this way but I realised I don’t want to host my own instance again unless I plan to support it a v long time.

Only when you pay yourself the hosting, you can guarantee that, at least as long as you pay.
How long are the interviews? how much data is it?
and what's the topic of interviews?
https://fedidb.com/software/peertube check out the different service, look for a big one (they maybe will stay longer? but that's just an assumption) and search who will allow you to upload such long videos.
www.yiny.org for example has loooon videos, maybe that's something for you? -

TBH, I'm not sure why SubscribeStar insists on vetting my posts before they go up.
They have my full tax info, address, everything. If it turns out I'm posting illegal shit, they can literally just turn me over to the cops or at the very least keep all my money and ban me.
You can't get a SubscribeStar page just by anonymous signup, so it's not like it's something that can be spammed...

Oh. It looks like EVERY post I make, even subs-only posts, goes in for review on SubscribeStar.
Sigh... that means that I probably need to start posting them real early in the day so they still come out on the days they're supposed to.
Only a matter of time before SubscribeStar goes the way of Patreon, I guess.
