- Find your favorite publications on flipboard.com and follow them (like @pitchfork)
- Follow the accounts from tags.pub for your favorite hashtags to get content from further afield, and follow @_followback to have your posts boosted
- Find the friendica and lemmy communities for your hobbies, like @nwsl for example

To organise users, you can group them in lists.

You can also group posts of up to 5 hashtags on a tab. Need more hashtags, add more tabs.

Account to noisy? Mute them for a hour or a few days.

Been here a while. Still learning new ways to use it.

Have different ways of using it, depending on which account I am on.

Main account I follow lots of people. Follow some art/craft hashtags. To clean timeline.

If interesting post, will look at who else liked it or boosted, who else follows the author or who they follow.

Dip into the all servers timeline sometimes, to find interesting stuff. Use lots of Filter, block mute, to tame it slightly.

Android has precisely 0 fediverse apps that I feel are pretty. 🙃

You might just need to enable it in the app settings.

The app stores don't approve apps with unmoded content.

To get around that, they don't enable the full firehose tab.

I use Tusky for android. Because it was what was recommended when I joined. There is a Mastodon app.

Or you can go to your instance in a web browser and use the "add to home screen"

Have multiple accounts, for different things. App lets me flick between them

Its a little quality of life update; photo library access feels a little smoother, you get Mastodon in the share screen to post content a little easier, etc. Small things.

When I was on iOS, I preferred @ivory over all the other experiences. Now I'm on Android, I jump between web and the official app.

I've got mastodon on my phone and use the web interface on my pc and don't see a difference between the two.

And if there's no content difference is an app just a quality of life upgrade?
