side thought, i'm extremely disappointed in the internet the west coast tech oligarchs came up with. i thought google and amazon spying on us all the time was supposed to make it easier to find stuff we want to buy, but even when i'm literally spelling out exactly what i want both really want to push me towards very irrelevant short tail stuff

honestly, i wish i could just ask for things like "a color palette that draws out that exact shade of dusty red earth that reminds me of something i can't quite remember", "an entire art book of assorted golden hour reference photos", "the exact terrifying shade of black/gray i saw in the starless night sky late at night on an amtrak trip last summer, why did it fill my heart with fear?", "the feeling of a mojave desert night in august", and/or "a collection of rare sounds"

"an art book of pictures that make me feel sad for no discernable reason" would be another great gift idea

i've got too much stuff i don't need more stuff ;_;
@aeva you should make a wishlist that's just a list of the things in your house, and they choose which item they want to take away
