Good evening, fedi folks.
I used to hate having to wash my own dishes after I finished eating, but lately, the quality of the glass coating in neutral detergents has improved so much that washing dishes has become fun.
When I manage to coat the dishes perfectly, they make a high-pitched squeaking sound, like a yelping puppy, when I run my finger across them. I love that. -

I love that.On the fediverse, even just posting rambling stories about your local daily life can spread a circle of empathy to the other side of the world, you know. I can't stop posting even trivial things, like the sound of washing dishes.

But yeah, kudos to the kid: not silly anders either (a brilliant way to show that not the task was understood, but there mind that answers is quite creative even within the given boundaries.

@Remittancegirl @erik also, as long as you're using a protein-safe detergent (i.e. no enzymes, and acidic rather than alkaline) a lot of silks can go quite safely in the washing machine, especially on a delicates cycle.
others can go in the washing machine and remain usable, but they change properties (so it depends on whether the garment you're making needs those properties)

Guess what also makes the back hurt in the same way, right over top of the kidneys, a kidney infection. Medication for kidney infection is not fun. Staying in bed is not fun.
