First he bankrolls Bluesky. Then he sprints into Nostr. Now he’s resurrecting Divine, the spiritual successor to Vine.
Maybe—just maybe—we stop orbiting another billionaire’s hobby app and support @loops@pixelfed.social instead.

@atomicpoet @loops the only positive thing of this is that it's apparently also reinstating the archive of old Vines, among which there were some good stuff. But then again that would be better served by donating the content to the Internet Archive and supporting it.

la cosa secondo me rilevante è che, collettivamente, come specie, non lo facciamo razionalmente.
Cerco di spiegarmi: il singolo individuo magari fa una scelta a lungo o a breve termine ma la spinta che muove il genere umano e sta consumando le risorse del pianeta non è cambiata di una virgola da quando l'homo sapiens ha cominciato a sparpagliarsi per il mondo.
L'uomo è dotato della capacità di usare la ragione ma collettivamente, come specie, continua a rispondere agli stessi impulsi istintivi: seguire un capo forte, mangiare tutto quello che c'è, usare le risorse a proprio beneficio, spostarsi in altri territori di caccia, uccidere i rivali...
Che è una strategia vincente fin che ci sono risorse e spazio dove spostarsi quando non ce ne sono più, ma adesso ci ucciderà se non riusciamo a fare un salto di qualità e ragionare.
(Ovviamente, se non si fosse capito, secondo me il mito del buon selvaggio è una panzana).
