I thought of maybe using the Fediverse logo as the "O" for "HOPE". What do you think? Trying to gauge if it's cheesy or not, I'd love some external opinion 😅

So somewhere between the two versions. As it stands, I feel that the logo is in front of the word, rather than part of it.

Rotating it in a way that the darker colors are on top might help. Or brightening them. Or putting it in a circle.

The darker colors don't really pop against the dark background, leading to the difficulties in parsing it as a letter.

That is interesting. At first I thought "well, that hexagon is clearly an 'O' character". But perhaps all letters from A - Z can be highlighted in its structure, and make a font.

So that people wouldn't confuse the word with "HAPE" or "HYPE".
