If your CLI script throws a prompt at me, you better explain why you’re asking for my input. Especially if it’s for a rare operation like “it’s been a month since we checked for updates, we need you to log into the package repo again”.
This rant brought to you by a script that just demanded me to “Enter username”, “Enter password”, and then showed me a sudo prompt. No indication for what username it wanted, and no explanation of why it ran for three months without any sudo.
