TIp: you may want to consider adding hashtags to your post to make it more discoverable (e.g. introduction and newHere are often used for introductory posts, and of course selfHelp, gaming, art, frogs might also be relevant tags since they are your topics). Also consider following said tags (and/or related ones) to find like-minded people and posts that may be relevant to your interests.

@xuelder yeah, it's a bit weird. Even here on display the https:// is removed, but it's necessary to let Mastodon know that it's a link. Even when copying from a post here to another post here one has to remember to re-add them. Other platforms are also more generous in what they accept, and will try to convert into link anything that beings with a dotted word so just writing something.like.this will try and make it into a link 8-D

I think this can be made extra funny by interpreting the wa in the Japanese grammar sense, but I'll need someone with a better understanding of Japanese grammar to make the joke for me.

@eniko it's interesting to see how things shape up differently depending on perspective and use case. To embed the RSS feeds of my Fedi accounts on my website, the JS is just a trivial “call this XSLT on this XML”, and I would actually do without the JS if there was a way to, but I'm limited to the number of entries in the RSS and I don't even think it's possible to get user-specific tags via RSS at all. OTOH, once one has to use the API, JS for everything (like in your case) makes more sense.

@grumpygamer if you're not a fan of the little inconsistencies of Markdown, consider looking into AsciiDoc, especially in its modern form (AsciiDoctor): basically the same syntax for the common stuff, but better consistency and wider range of features as soon as you step out of the basics.
