🌿🇮🇹 Steampunk Greenhouse, somewhere in Italy.
Vines twist and contort as they climb up the iron work. Larger varieties of vines criss-cross the floor, and lay in rope-like coils near the entrance.
Overgrown greenhouses are always a favourite of mine, and this one certainly charmed.

Shot on a roll of #KodakEktar during my #Baltics 2023 trip. With so many vibrant murals, I wanted a colourful film that would do them justice.
I loaded up my trusty Zenit-E, paired with a Mir-1b 37mm lens, to capture these images inside #AbandonedPlaces and #Ruins.

Old abandoned bromine works, Amlwch, north Wales 🏭
The plant was decommissioned and decontaminated in the mid-2000s. Much of the site was demolished soon after, but several interesting buildings still remain. These areas once extracted bromine from seawater.
⛪ Tabernacle Baptist Church. Somewhere in the USA. Built around 1905. Abandoned when the congregation relocated to another church, as the roof began to buckle and collapse.

I was being very cautious inside this abandoned glass dome, for good reason! Although nearly all the glass had fallen, there were still dagger-like shards hanging from some areas. I picked my route and crouch spot carefully, always being aware of the roof directly above me.

🩵💛 Blue & Gold. A stunning abandoned synagogue, built in the 1920s. Somewhere in the USA
The beautiful circular sanctuary held over 1,000 worshippers and supported the area's Jewish community as it grew to its peak in the 1930s and 1940s. It closed in the 1990s, as families moved away to more suburban areas as the town's industry declined and urban regeneration plans failed.

Villa Bodenlos, a crumbling and decaying villa somewhere in Italy.
Beautiful frescos decorate the walls and ceilings, sun-faded and cracking. It is still beautiful despite the ravages of time. The roof and upper floors of the house are collapsing, as she succumbs to the elements.

🚡🇬🇪 High above a Georgian mining town, rusting cable cars hang motionless on their lines. Built to carry miners and ore across the mountains, these small metal cabins were nicknamed "metal coffins" by the those that once used them for their daily commute.
Nowadays, the cable car network is under renovation. But, some relic cars and Soviet Modernist stations can still be explored.

🏛️🇬🇪 A grand Soviet-era culture house lies abandoned in the mountains, built in the 1950s as a venue for workers’ collectives. Its facade carries the influence of Greek architecture, with a portico entrance and classical lines that set it apart from others of its kind.
Once a theatre, cinema, and library, today it stands empty, its halls silent and its stage long unused.

🛒☢️ This supermarket stands frozen in time following the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Located within the exclusion zone, it was evacuated without warning and has remained untouched since.
