I'm curious how common this is- how often do you boost your own posts for different timezones?

@chillicampari@layer8.space uuh... yeah... for different time zones, thats it.

@chillicampari I didn’t even know this was a thing. To be honest I’d feel like a narcissist doing it.

@chillicampari only if I'm like, really happy with the post. But it always feels a little like something I only want to do sparingly.

Sometimes I'll boost a toot and unboost then reboost someone else's toot so they reach another time zone.
And yes, I am a weirdo like that. -
@Fragglemuppet @chillicampari yep, same. Came here to post this.
@schratze @chillicampari I just boosted a poll I made a month ago that hasn't gotten a lot of attention. Could you please boost it?

@chillicampari Never considered it. Don't really see the value in doing so. My posts generally aren't in like, high demand. The rare book post, perhaps.

@chillicampari I thought that responding to one's own post was some sort of internet faux pas! My "good" posts get enough boosts from the lovely people who follow me, but there are many that silently die in the darkness of the opposite hemispheres night... I confess I sometimes time posting to a more Europe friendly time zone.

@chillicampari only questions that get little answer

@Fragglemuppet @chillicampari I'm sorry, I can't find that poll

@Fragglemuppet @schratze was it the Wandering Inn one? If so I found and boosted it.

@chillicampari @schratze Yep, that's the one, thanks! Though now I whenever I do something like this I feel a little embarrassed at the fuss I'm making. I guess I should take not much of an answer as an answer in itself. But this one was important to me, and I gave it the max amount of time to let as many people see it as possible...

@Fragglemuppet You're welcome and no need to feel embarrassed. I don't know the commonly used literary hashtags offhand but there might be something that works well with the poll topic for the next ones. @schratze

@chillicampari @schratze Oh, I usually just use #Poll and #Polls and do pretty well!

@chillicampari I sometimes boost an answer of mine, because answers don't show up for unrelated people.
