I thinking about one thing that #fediverse self-hosting landscape lacks. Well it is not only about Fediverse per se.
I dream to have something like a personal "trailer", or technically speaking, a server, on the internet, where I can add various capabilities if need them. For example:
📜 microblogging like Mastodon.
📖 Long-reads blogging like Medium
🖼️ Photos and albums
📷 Video upload
at least one of these:
📬 deltachat relay
📪 Briar "mailbox".
💬 Simplex relaySome more explanations follow.

(Kitten is for a far more specific use case but, if you wanted to, you could build a front end for something like what you describe with it.)

thanks to the WONDERFUL @yunohost I have a VPS running my self-hosted #GoToSocial instance (this one), #Pixelfed for photos and #PeerTube for videos.
I also have a #LinkStack account (think: Linktree alternative - https://elena.social) and if I wanted I could host my own Wordpress site (but I've been running my own, outside of the YH system, since 2010).
I cannot recommend #YunoHost enough. They're THE BEST 🏆

The Loops mobile app is coming very soon!

non abbiamo voluto creare citiverse.it per rinchiudere i "nostri" utenti sequestrandoli nel nostro forum, ma per offrire un servizio a tutti gli utenti italiani, sia quelli del nostro forum, sia quelli delle nostre istanze, sia quelli di tutte le istanze!
Questa è la cosa più importante di tutte ed è il motivo per cui vi rispetto!
