Hi #fediverse. We need to talk about something.
While talking to a colleague it came up that they have never sat on a cow. Like, not even once in their childhood.
Another colleague listening in admitted they also have never sat on a cow.
My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a cow.

@Pepijn never a cow. Horses a few times. I grew up in a rural area, cows literally at the end of my block. But, riding them wasn't a thing anyone ever thought to do, AFAIK.

@Pepijn I don't think I've ever sat on a cow or seen anybody sitting on a cow, even if I've spent a big part of my childhood summers at an alp (pasture)
this happened between Italy and the Italian speaking part of Switzerland
(I've sat on at least a donkey, and some horses)

@stefano I'm trying SeaweedFS as a S3 storage (and FUSE mounts, too) on my daily job and looks wonderful so far. Such much easier than Ceph to set up.
I'm also pushing a bit to have more metrics. 🤣

Two years ago today, we filed the paperwork for Mirlo to officially become a legal entity. We're so grateful and humbled by everyone who has contributed to the experiment since then. Here's to many more years making music together on the internet! 🐦⬛🐸🎺

Sono proprio felice di iniziare a vedere altri #admin del #Fediverso riuniti nello stesso angolino.
È normale che siamo tutti un po’ sulla difensiva (me compreso), la stanza è nata da un solo giorno… ma siamo già in 20!La verità è che stare ognuno nel proprio fortino e non collaborare è controproducente; se non troviamo un vero punto d’incontro, rischiamo solo di farci schiacciare dai soliti social commerciali che già bussano alla porta con il loro “ciao, vi inglobiamo tutti?”.
Chissà, magari tra un po’ ci rilassiamo, abbassiamo gli scudi e iniziamo davvero a fare squadra, aiutarci e costruire qualcosa di bello insieme… senza campanilismi e senza “il mio server è più bello del tuo”.🙏
