What a whirlwind 72 hours in #Brussels for #FOSDEM! Everyone I met has been working so so hard to build technology explicitly trying to break out of a broken system of corporate hegemony. There were so many different fields present here but I primarily focused on the #fediverse track.

My trip started off with getting to spend most of the first day hanging out with @hongminhee and @2chanhaeng, and discussing how our various cultures differed and aligned. How our social upbringings brought us to where we are. And how the politics of inclusively and multiculturalism are at the center of many of the technologies we care about. Then randomly seeing this fediverse/peertube news on live French tv while eating shawarma at an Iranian shop really jumpstarted the experiance.

@L_yah @elmine sadly no, I just had it made for FOSDEM but the supplier kept messing up the mockups so I won't be ordering from them again... if enough people are interested, maybe I'll set up a shop on bonfire.com (not the Fedi bonfire, but the apparel place)
