@BuyFromEU The sad fact is that an average consumer will always use what's easy to get into, not what's morally or technically superior.
We are not selling this idea for technology enthusiasts who already understand the problem, but to a person who has absolutely no idea what these services even do technically, they're just the bright colored icon that let you do various things.
Then there's the whole matter of selling the idea that it's not good if you're being spied upon. My mom is a good example. She has various services on her tabled and she uses them daily, but she just won't understand what's bad about if a technology giant analyses all her communications. She will never be able to comprehend the core issue because it's all space magic when explained even with layman's terms.
Yet my mom is exactly the type that the campaigns to switch to European and trustworthy companies should be aimed for. It's however a tough sale to say she should start paying for them.
