@antones @Gina My first EV had a range of 160 kilometres and I was a bit wary of it. In practice, it wasn’t too bad; I completed 90 per cent of my journeys within that range and never had to charge en route. Only long trips on holiday I need to use fastchargers but that you do only a few times a year.

@antones @Gina I drive already 10 years full electric. I know that the range decreases a bit faster at top speed, but my average speed over the last 10,000 kilometres has been 72 km/h. Most people don’t drive non-stop at top speed on the motorway either. I mainly see you expressing the established views on electric transport.

Here starts with 1500 euro. The thing with range etc, most people drive around 60 km per day and than the range of a Zoe is fine. And the topspeed is 130 km/h. More then enough. The max speed in the most country’s is less. I agree btw that a good public transport is even better!

@antones @Gina everyone who can buy a new car can afford an EV. They are even cheaper than fossil cars. And the second hands cars EV becomes also cheaper. Further EV’s are much cheaper to maintain and to drive. So the argument about having no money to buy one is not there in my opinion.

I just looked, the cheapest second hand EV here in the Netherlands is 1250 euros.

@Gina I find it shocking how many people still smoke in southern countries. And indeed, everywhere.

And all vehicles that still run on fossil fuels should have been banned long ago. Electric vehicles have been widely available for a long time.

@nazokiyoubinbou @alda To be honest, I had to look him up (after seeing this thread) to find out who Chuck Norris was. Then I recognised his face. I must have seen him in a film or something. Other than that, he didn’t ring a bell.
