I am getting really frustrated with #VSCode and #JetBrains stuff because they are slow and (especially the latter) full of unhelpful and obtrusive LLM stuff. I tried #Zed but it doesn't seem ready for production (small things like I can't figure out how to search terminal output, medium things like searching the code base is clunky, and bigger things like debugger breakpoints don't work if there's a new process started).
I'm thinking about getting back into #Vim, but 1) I don't really have time to learn how to use it effectively, and 2) I don't really have time and know-how to configure it as a fully featured #IDE, which is what I need. Is there even anything out there that will work? It seems preposterous that I can't find a grown-up IDE for #Linux that has features and is snappy on my machine.
