@nomenloony i hadn't zoomed in or read the post or alt text and am a *very* unsophisticated user when it comes to anything electrical, and at first glance i thought the correct chart was on the left and the AI-generated pic was on the right

once i read the text body and inferred that the thing labelled so confidently "correctly wired" must be the slop, then read the alt text and confirmed it was so, everything made so much more sense

AI infographics are such an awful case of "we can lie faster than you can fact-check"

@futurebird when i first hear about it it was framed as "they've had beef with this guy and his ultimate murder may well have been wilfully targeted (implication: premeditated)" but yeah i can see the fash spinning it this way too

@futurebird @thordis i think we're born in the same year or at least within 1 year of each other, which means most people i've seen born 2-3 years before us who talk about the x/y boundary tend to identify either as millennials or xennials...

one thing that isn't taught nearly enough (and some religious or reactionary parents might even actively obstruct such learning) is the arbitrariness of the signifier's relationship to the signified and how you need to learn to be able to untangle that to get to higher levels of thinking about anything

originally had "[" as 3 because i was thinking sloppily and figured "big string = big number" but the error was obvious once i'd sorted the [-initial 3-longs into their sequenced groups of 4 at the end and it was clearly skipping a few series
