The weirdest part of self-hosting isn't the control, it's the silence@jimmyb @h333d I use RSS to track a couple of YouTube channels. I realized yesterday that I had an idiotic habit of opening the video link in the official YouTube app, thus subjecting me to the ad/tracking sludge. It is actually like 2 taps less for me to just play the video in the RSS app, and no ads get inserted. The only reason I can think is that I wanted to be counted when I like or dislike a video. Like that really matters
