"Aliens are real" has more than one possible meaning, the most disappointing of which is only:
" 'Foreigners' are 'a thing'. "
Interpreting it:
"It is true that there exists extraterrestrial life forms from (an) advanced civilization(s) somewhere in the cosmos light years away from Earth"
is how many would read that, though, and, knowing this, so-called "disclosure" is often done sharing no important information at all.
Just let the uneducated public fill in the blanks with their poorly educated assumptions, let their imagination run wild, and if you do this skillfully, you can pretend to expose something while keeping them in the dark about it.
It's like BRAWNDO.
BRAWNDO's got what plants crave, it's got electrolytes.
