@itsFriday @grote How so? It's the one that's getting in your way the most. Want to use this app today? Screw you. Why do we cater to idiots getting scammed more than letting people own the devices we bought with our own money?

Google has news on what you will need to do for still being able to sideload apps:@grote 24 hours of not owning my phone is evil. This is stupid. I'm fine with everything but the pointless 24 hour wait and the biometric requirement. Give us your personally identifiable information and wait in phone purgatory for 24 hours to actually be able to own your device? Ridiculous.

uhm, did you know that waypipe with ssh is fast enough to use blender remotely over wi-fi?@mntmn Waypipe is awesome, been using it to run stuff on my desktop from my #postmarketOS phone and it's the most seamless and frustration-free remote GUI system I've ever used.

re-normalize direct download and manual installation (aka side-loading) of software on our mobile microcomputers.@blogdiva To really make this a reality we need a significant adoption of third-party mobile OSes, because neither Apple nor Google are gonna give us anything like it. Google is actively taking it away. We need more support for #LinuxMobile operating systems like #postmarketOS. If you want your phone to just be a tiny PC look no further, because mobile Linux is just desktop Linux shrunk down. Sideload all you want, compile your own software on device, it's completely open.
