The rest of the Fiat 127 range also benefitted from the update. The entry-level model was the 903cc 127 Special. It was unusual in continuing to be available with a flap-style conventional boot opening as a slightly cheaper alternative to the hatchback shown here.

In 1982 it got a second facelift, with a bolder sloping nose and lots of plastic add-on trim. The new 1300 Sport (known as the GT in the UK) is shown in this Dutch brochure. The range also got an all-new dashboard, while the Sport got an overhead console with digital clock, including stopwatch, and fashionable net front headrests to enhance its performance credentials.
