@CStamp Kids wearing helmets has nothing to do with safety around cars though. Adding it to these discussions is a distraction. A helmet can help a bit if you're falling due to instability, cycle off the road, maybe a bit when you hit another cyclist. All at low speeds and low kinetic energy.If you're a kid ploughed into by a car the only thing that can help you is luck.@ccferrie
