Setting aside obvious moral issues, as a matter of resistance strategy, assassination of fascist influencers who don’t actually pull any levers of power is incredibly stupid.

Apparently the shooter is also a fascist who felt that the victim was too left wing. So helping the fascists is a major motivation.
