this reminds me of the wheel lock-nut that got lost in the same place in our car last year. It wasn't until *after* we had the tire shop break the locks on the wheels and replaced them with standard nuts that I found the lock nut when I pulled the mat out from under the driver's seat and the glint of the metal nut caught my eye ;)

a lot of English speakers don't like speaking other languages.... particularly those with British heritage.

The French Immersion program was the single most important thing P. Trudeau did to break that

Our current Governor General Mary Simon -- Titular Commander of our Armed Forces in the King's adsence -- is Inuk, and grew up in traditional life. (yes, dog sleds, Donald!)

Her Inuk name is: Ningiukudluk

It means: “bossy little old lady”.

I am absolutely sure #TheAmericanFascist would hate her. 👍

She has a long career in Arctic/Inuk/Circumpolar politics. She will be in Nuuk next month to open Canada's new consulate.

For those not familiar, Nunavut is a Canadian territory encompassing most of the Canadian Arctic including Baffin Island where its capital, Iqaluit, is located.

There are deep historic and ancestral ties, but also very current familial ties between Greenlander and Canadian Inuit peoples. There are international flights between Iqaluit and Nuuk.

@valhalla I would think that unless it has been registered with some sort of power utility, then it won’t be counted as renewable energy generated. However, it would be indirectly counted as greater energy efficiency as the overall consumption of grid electricity per capita or per GDP would go down.
