@Broadfork @dillyd I don't do much walking where there are other people these days, but I've oddly found a few things in the bush here: a couple of golf balls on various occasions! Very odd here, I can't easily imagine any neighbours (only one property near enough) or my relatives (their houses also not near, but some drive through)- golfing! Likeliest is that when my sister was here her kids were playing with them, but they were found outside the yard/garden a decade or two later!

I'm super happy that it's sunny on this work-from-home day for me.I think 'pram' should be generally understood here, though not too often used (could be regional and generational differences) .. buggy is more likely used for other sorts of vehicles etc
lol-- yes, children do love to chuck things from wherever they may be perched-- I think sometimes watching their caretakers play 'fetch' is half the fun..
The dreadful habits of the 1% I won't comment on...lol -
I'm super happy that it's sunny on this work-from-home day for me.@dillyd @Broadfork this was a big benefit of those dollar store work gloves with fabricky tops and vinyl(?) palms- thin for summer thick for winter- as the fabricy parts are fluorescent.. I stopped getting the winter ones, though, as the palms don't hold up long to handling rough wood (though nothing really does..)

I'm super happy that it's sunny on this work-from-home day for me.@Broadfork @dillyd btw, had to look up push chair- wasn't sure if it was for a small child (stroller, here) or for someone with mobility issues (wheelchair)- I guess it's the former?

I'm super happy that it's sunny on this work-from-home day for me.@Broadfork @dillyd my best results are in moderate fresh snow in the bush- when I can retrace my footsteps (literally) and see the glove against the white! (on bare ground, retracing my very convoluted steps is tricky, and of course deep snow might simply swallow the items-not always gloves, my hatchet is a frequent flier...lol)

First #snow fell Saturday afternoon -Sunday morning (contrary to what some folks are saying, it's not early- *August* would be early, September typical, October late!).First #snow fell Saturday afternoon -Sunday morning (contrary to what some folks are saying, it's not early- *August* would be early, September typical, October late!). A few cm, nothing major, nights -5 to -9C /23 to15F, staying near/below freezing- so a lot of the snow has stuck around in the countryside at least: melting off the roof in the sunshine now, but largely in place on grass, plants etc.
Yesterday morning inside vs outside

Not many #flowers left:a few things going in the #gardens scattered #weeds + very few native wildflowers. Not many #flowers left:a few things going in the #gardens scattered #weeds + very few native wildflowers. #Pollinators winding down too, but patrolling the remaining flowers shows me a few still at work. This tiny #bee (probably Sweat Bee of some sort) was fully immersed in a Sonchus/Sow Thistle flower head in a little patch I leave on purpose near the house. They're mostly done flowering too, but a few heads left #nature #insects #Alberta #Autumn
