I have an account on infosec.exchange and it's a good instance. The character limit is 11,000, search indexing is good, and it has two alternative instances, infosec.town and infosec.place, with threads locked. Almost everyone there is from the infosec community: programmers, open source developers, etc. And the admin, @jerry, is a great guy.
