It's incredible how obtuse they are about their own user base, and what motivates someone to choose Firefox to begin with. Anyone who likes this crap is already perfectly happy using Chrome or Edge.

Ugh... I'm dating myself but the last time I dabbled with this I think Nagios and NtopNG were the typical open source solutions. Most of the modern advice I'm finding seems to be Prometheus/Grafana. Sorry!

Like, depending on what you want to do, it might be as simple as throwing your data into DuckDB and generating some time series graphs with Plotly with a tiny bit of Python in a Jupyter NB, or a dashboard built using Dash. It's been a while since I've done any of that personally, though.

I don't have a firm idea of your options, but I wonder whether knowing more about your intended use case might help shape advice.

What kind of data are you looking to visualize, and how/where is it stored?

Is this for single user and as-needed, or something you might want running continuously or for multiple users?

I wonder if @hrbrmstr in particular has thoughts.

Yeah, but the "things" that you hope to get your way in this case are people and your relationships with them, and arguably that's worth a bit more. I have respect for the folks that put their effort into this. I just don't think that's my vocation. I don't have the patience or inclination for it.

I've heard of some successful deradicalization strategies, but they all seem unreliable and unscalable and require the patience of a saint. Basically, you have to invest months or years into earning their trust, withholding judgment even when they do or say the most ludicrous nonsense, and hope that at some point they'll realize the errors of their ways on their own terms and want to confide in you. Unfortunately, deradicalization takes orders of magnitude more time and energy than their initial radicalization, and they have to want it.
