Hello Fediverse. I'm sure some of you already know this, but I would like to share a fun Latin fact I learned today.
You know how the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden is often depicted as an apple? Well apparently the fruit is actually not named in the Bible! It is thought that the association between the two came about because the word for apple in Latin, mālum, is very close to the word for "bad" or "evil", malum.
