Oof. #Therapy was deeeeep today.For the first time, I realized that we (Black folks) are potentially in another diasporic moment wrt all the current fascist shenanigans.Like, if These Assholes get the country they want, this will force a number of us to flee. All I could imagine during the session was a data viz of millions of little dots flowing from Africa to the Americas; then the dots growing and multiplying along the north- and southeast; then the South; then the Great Migration North (and the smaller one westward); and now...the unknown streams of Black folks *away* from America...back to Africa?We talked about the burden of legacy that exists in Black families (usually in the form of the one family member who has been assigned that role of legacy keeper).
