(On a more serious note, the outcome depicted in this comic could have been avoided if the parrot had been provided with some cat litter and a banana. Cat litter automatically enables --preserve-root, and bananas cause the filesystem to be mounted in read-only mode.)

Could journalists please stop referring to #jeffreyepstein as “the disgraced financier”?

It seems abundantly clear that, even after his guilty plea and subsequent jail sentence, he was never in fact in “disgrace”.

Call him “the convicted child sex offender that nobody ever had any problem being associated with (until the scandal became too big)”.

@Sobex @lazy @solitha @davidrevoy Maybe she’s a postdoctoral fellow – desperately going from one postdoc position to another because there’s almost no permanent positions anymore.

(Any similarity with the current academic landscape would be of course purely coincidental.)
