The traditional way of growing vines in Southern Italy (and Southern France, plus some parts of Spain).The traditional way of growing vines in Southern Italy (and Southern France, plus some parts of Spain). No need for support poles and metal wires, the bush trained –alberello– vine grows slowly in height thanks to a specific pruning. This method keeps the vine safer from drought, harsh winds and extreme temperature. As a side consequence, quality is put ahead of quantity.
