@SymTrkl@anarres.family people just dislike ai nonsense, it's an easy enemy to unite against, people have created names to mock and disparage things they collectively dislike for millennia.

this isn't to argue it's okay, their second post (https://mastodon.online/@danirabbit/116177479600560734) I thought was very well put, I just wish to push back on demonization and putting people in boxes when it's much more likely that this is simply something those people just never considered.

I think there needs to be some intentionality for actions to be representative of the person

@SymTrkl@anarres.family if you think everyone is consciously recognizing that there's a new slur that's acceptable to say and that's the reason people are using it, that is both extremely cynical and frankly, just a little delusional. absolutely raise your eyebrow at it, question it, but don't attribute to malice what could be ignorance.
