@talksina I used to be an early adopter of social media services, ones many today have forgotten or never heard of. Being in tech can be like that. Not only did many friends rush to try them, many also worked for those companies.
Which maybe explains why now I only publish my updates here. From a small instance of people who met on a previous social media service that tried to be different but couldn’t survive in a world of big, shiny, and “free”
@talksina whether or not to use Twitter is still nuanced for some (like small businesses). I’m staying out of that.
The previous web UI was always meh for me, only usable on desktop as well. But there was an entire ecosystem of 3rd party apps. That is the only way I could use it on my phone.
Now for mobile it’s the official apps or unusable for me web in a browser. I don’t trust most mobile apps and particularly those for services where I’m the free content/data creator and not the customer.
I saw something I thought was important to read, but it was posted on Twitter/X. Which is literally impossible to even look at on my phone without installing its app. I wish people who like to post these links understood why this is a problem. #accessibility
