    @arroz @DosFox @billgoats I felt really nervous (scared really!) about working around CRTs until I watched this video by BranchusCreations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1DeMOl_nK4 I found it very informative and gave me plenty of confidence. Also, apart from the first few compact Macs, a bleed resistor is generally fitted so that the charge does drain away when the power is off even if you have not discharged it beforehand.
