@Edent oh this is quite interesting. As this is one of my main frustration with the PHP docs at the moment.

I usually try to get people to not write any comments in the code block and have them show the output and add a paragraph if needed. As I don't really expect our translators to translate the examples (although some do which leads to inconsistencies)

@Edent possibly something along the lines of:

すみません、その追悼碑のベンチを撮りたいです。立ち上がんでもいいですか？

sumimasen, sono tsu-i-tō-hi no bentchi o toritai desu.
tachi-a-gan-de-mo-ii desu ka?

Although maybe someone like @zonuexe can criticise my Japanese and actually come up with a better way to approach this :)
