I was inspired by @mntmn 's "using AI wastes a lot of energy" email signature idea.@vkc @mntmn I used to hate those email signatures, because often it was the only non-textual element of what could've been an elegant light-weight text-only email (thereby consuming fewer server resources and being better for the environment!). HOWEVER all of that pales into insignificance compared to people summarising and de-summarising everything with ChatGPT, so yeah, maybe it *is* time to bring back green email signatures.
