I did some volunteer path surveys for the Ramblers and Carmarthenshire Council today. Half were impassable, which is a shame, but they’ll be reported now. I also ended up walking twice as far as I had to backtrack several times. However, a walk is a walk and it was a lovely bright and crisp day for it. Oh and I met a friendly cat.Most of my path pics are of stiles, gates and obstructions so here’s the Afon Teifi, with Ceredigion on the left and Carmarthenshire on the right.#Cymru #walking

A lovely crisp and sunny morning for a bimble. I’ve jobs to do at home so I kept it local. I’m lucky to have this on my doorstep.

Having a weekend away…still in Wales but a different bit. Me and my bestie catching up in Bannau Brycheiniog. There’ll be walking and, seeing the forecast for Sunday, hunkering down in a cosy pub.#FootpathFriday

Saw this beauty on my walk yesterday. My immediate thought was of Artax in The Neverending Story (feels like that needs a CW).

I took the scenic route home and as it was such a lovely afternoon I stopped at Cenarth Falls to do the tourist thing. I had an ice-cream and everything! The water was very low in the summer but after Saturday’s deluge you wouldn’t know there were falls under the torrent. I walked the riverside path and back to the village via a beautiful holloway that I imagine Owain Glyndwr and his soldiers would have used before crossing the river here to attack the castle at Newcastle Emlyn. #Cymru
