To them, this is never a big deal, you're just exaggerating. But it's like the old adage says: climate change isn't real until it's you filming it from your windows.

I'm not a fan of the "being against AI is being against technology" line of thought. I love tech. But that definitely feels like a caricaturesque punching down.
The air and noise pollution as well as the energy and water consumption issues are very real and they are well documented. Arguing against that is yelling at a cloud because it annoyed you.
The reasons why hospitals are near bankruptcy are the same challenges we all face: water and electricity shortages, inflation and population decline. All of those you can trace back to the PROMESA Act as well as the Jones law.
