@elena Just software advice for your Linux travel: Beyond Compare. Carbon Copy Cloner is only for Mac, but Beyond Compare is multiplatform and allows the same kind of changes evaluation as CCC (However, does not make a bootable copy, but I think this is more related to MacOS features).
