    What Bose did: enable a cloudless mode and publish some API documentation (good!)

    What AT reported: "Bose open-sources its SoundTouch home theater smart speakers ahead of end-of-life"

    No! Open-sourcing requires *opening* the *source* code. Which decidedly is not what happened here!

    (Aside from that though, props to AT for putting links to sources (in the journalistic sense) in their articles. They're ahead of many others on that one.)
