@dillyd Interesting - I had that happen years ago, in the middle of the night I was waking to the doorbell.
Turns out, I was dilly dallying on an important decision, and once I had made that decision, the doorbells stopped.
Also, it turned out to be such an important decision, made the right way, and the results of which have had such a positive impact on my life ever since.

The garden is covered with rocket/arugula flowers which attract the bees. The pods will grow and this year I hope to catch them when plump and soft, before they harden and are inedible. They are fabulous pickled with nasturtium pods.
Chinotto orange is in abundant flower and this is the favourite flower of the bees right now. There will be SO MANY chinotto oranges next year. The flowers are SO fragrant.
So much happening right now in the garden.
Quince flowers. I will have more quinces on this small tree than every before, by the look of it. It must have liked the dry winter.
These flower thingies, on their last legs but beautiful still.
Lavender is everywhere, front and back of the house, and in full bloom everywhere.
Abundant fennel.

Good morning all you beautiful people. I re-read this today, something I wrote long ago:
The weather is gorgeous and I am so grateful for so many things in my life. From my teachers and mentors throughout my life, to the birds that sing me awake in the morning, the kookaburras which made an unscheduled stop in our neighbourhood, to the gardeners and garbage men who keep things spick and span around this area.
I am grateful for the simplicity and nourishment of food, and of course for the great tastes.
