What do ya'll people who use sane unit systems rather than our US nonsense system call "mileage"@mees @futurebird 1 on 11 in this economy? 🥲

What do ya'll people who use sane unit systems rather than our US nonsense system call "mileage"@futurebird Dutch here. We have a word “kilometerstand” where “stand” roughly translate to current measurement.
When describing a car, we also say “it’s got x kilometer on the counter” (where counter is the instrument that measures total distance travelled). This is usually in a sales context.

My newest article is out on the blog, and it's more philosophy than tech this time.Excellent point raised by @hamatti (as usual):

The way that Valve could make a fortune off of me if they brought out the Steam Machine in pink.@Gina Might I add to this, with regards to catering to female consumers:
Make hardware smaller.
To generalize:
Hardware and furniture are often designed with male proportions in mind, resulting in designs that are too large for women. (Think large hands, broad shoulders, tall backs).
(Also, let's hope no one tells 'em about the "pink tax" once they do decide that women are a legitimate customer base.)
