Using mostly willow charcoal on paper, I explore in-between spaces where different social strata often intimately intersect but seldom connect. I use monochromatic and sooty marks to express the vibrancy, veiled beauty, contrast, and otherworldliness of liminal spaces in our complex and often chaotic urban environment.
