@inthehands like, what is the difference between a tool and a slave that lacks consciousness? I can only think that it’s in the way you treat it. You can’t be cruel to a tool. You can’t dominate a tool. You can’t derive status from being above a tool.

@inthehands Jesus that’s so dark. And the insistence that he doesn’t *want* a tool (inanimate), he *wants* a slave (animate). Which I can only interpret to mean he craves the ability to exploit, oppress and demean—without facing any social or moral consequence.
What a sickness.

When they ask for chocolate, tell them they won’t like it, it’s special grown up chocolate
When they insist, relent and give them a little.

@DeliaChristina I think a lot about the phrase “necessary but not sufficient”. These things are necessary: without them, we cannot grow power. But they are not sufficient: alone, they won’t make change.
I feel like people think because they’re not sufficient, they’re not necessary. But that’s wrong headed. There’s no one thing that will do it all. Doesn’t mean the parts don’t matter.
Why haven’t more millennials named their kid topanga? Honestly this surprises me.
