also just personal anecdata, not generalizing, everyone's different:
with an anxiety disorder plus adhd, the anxiety makes you perform too, in sprints, using your own adrenaline (it's kinda shit though and you burn out after a few decades because you're always running on dread ... I know from a good friend)
and expectations to perform consistently (instead of in bursts) still put you into a shame spiral
so meds are a good thing
