Today was amazing and I’m too exhausted to post about it (I’m in Los Angeles).
However, here’s a magnificent creature of a clock I saw before the event (yes, its pendulum was swinging 🕰️🦄):

All published in 2025. 💪🏾
A bit about my novel NOOR:
A thriving near-future Nigeria🇳🇬 (*not* a dystopia).
A woman...with machine enhancements…on the run🦿🦾.
A true Fulani herdsman…on the run 🐄.
A whirling natural disaster in the north that provides green energy 🌪.
A city of nobodies living their best lives deep in the Sahara Desert, 🏜.
...and more. #africanfuturism
Note: This science fiction (africanfuturist) novel understands better the foundation of the violence in PARTS OF present-day Nigeria than the dumbass Trump Administration (who just bombed Nigeria, while being ignorant of things).

My novel NOOR was an answer in the New York Times Crossword Puzzle, 😃. #Africanfuturism FTW. 🇳🇬
Next year, I’m doing the Terry Lectureship at Yale in March/April. It’s a century-old lecture series that’s hosted some truly heavyweight thinkers. Wild to be stepping onto that stage 😅 https://philosophy.yale.edu/events/2026-03-31-terry-lectureship-nnedi-okorafor
My novel DEATH OF THE AUTHOR is a Time Magazine “Must-Read Book of the 2025”, 🥰.
I’m pleased that they at least said the genre is “hard to pin down” (that’s an understatement because the novel contains multitudes).

Heehee, 😃
My signing line was massive. This was only part of it, ✍🏾.
I had a wonderful time at the Heartland Book Festival yesterday in Kansas City, Missouri.

Afterwards, I had dinner with Ibi Zoboi and Keisha-Gaye Anderson at Cafe Rue Dix; truly a magical evening that I really needed. Nothing like time spent with like minds/good friends/fellow writers, 🥹.
I was on a wonderful panel at the Brooklyn Book Festival with fellow writers Lincoln Michel and Fernando A. Flores, moderated by C.J. Farleyte. It was about writing books within books. 📚
