@jake2 With the initial age verification announcement I was deciding to ditch Discord. But after this clarification, I'm going to gradually move away from Discord instead. Honestly, even if this specific thing ends up being not that bad, my guess is that it's just the first time they've stepped up from minor enshittification to major enshittification, and we're going to see age verification gradually get more aggressive and start to see things like ads get introduced, or features that were free getting locked behind Nitro. But I'm glad I've got another 3–4 months of Discord to gradually move everything off
