here's something to consider in both your personal relations and activism:

do not punish behavior you want to see

when you call your mom and she starts the conversation with a guilt trip like "how come you never call me".. it drains you of energy for wanting to be on that call or call her again in the future.

if you're seeing activism that you wish had happened sooner, maaaaybeeee don't be your mom about it.
