@aufkurztrip es geht nicht darum dass die bilder im post sind... wenn das plugin die bilder mit föderiert, dann zeigt mastodon nur die bilder und ignoriert das audio. das plugin kann also nur entweder oder schicken.

ich kann dem audio aber ein bild mit geben. eigentlich benutzt das plugin die podlove methode "cover_art_with_fallback" keine ahnung was das genau macht... ich schau mal ob das auf das featured image zurück greift.

und ich schau mal wie ich die shownotes ausgeblendet bekomme.

Das mit den shownotes schau ich mir an. Wie packst du die in den post? Ist das ein weiteres plugin oder schreibst du es direkt in den post?

@ricferrer but that is not the point of the discussion! this is already a problem, because if you change the post type to `Note`, pixelfed will show it, even with the full text.

If spam or unrelevant images are the problem, than this can not (only) be fixed by blocking the `Article` type.

@arnodegroote @rwaschbaer @dansup ironically if I use `Note`, it is already possible to publish long form text to pixelfed in the same way it is already possible on mastodon.

@arnodegroote @rwaschbaer @dansup As I wrote in my initial toot, this is not about the text, but the posts that have a lot of nice images. a platform like pixelfed can still only use the summary!

@dansup but that is a totally different discussion I think. switching to `Note` on the WordPress site and I am able to publish images.

The `Note` object type is no indicator for "it is truly an image post" nor is `Article` an indicator for "the post has only a header image".

let's bring #longform (text) support to the #photoverse

@julian in the WordPress space, visibility and post-states might change quite often in the publish process. so I thought a soft-delete might be nice to map a "from published back to draft" use case. but mastodon does not respect the update when the post will be republished.

how do you handle that atm. or do you simply live with it!?
